There are a lot of words used on bento resources that don’t make a lick of sense to an all-American girl like myself. While I was raised close enough to the border to know what tacos are and what mole is…words like furikake completely throw me! I’m gonna make a list of all of the weird bento words I’ve read and try to demystify them a little for all of us.
Furikake: A type of dry, flaky seasoning that is sprinkled on rice to give it flavor. It often contains dried seaweed and egg yolk, sesame seeds and vegetables. Some even contain dehydrated fish.
